A Silent Afternoon

The afternoon is eerily silent,
Exuding the aura of an upset tyrant.

The air is thick with more than just a lack of words,
Because silence does speak louder than words.

Silence is not always the best option;
But, often it is the best answer for lack of a better option.

Or, perhaps silence is the best aid for patience
Especially, when someone is really trying my patience.

Like it or not, silence causes no harm;
Much like this afternoon that it fails to charm.
