    Hi Leo, thanks much for the explanation…you’re right, it’s a deviation from the classical Japanese Haiku and takes more a form of the modern day English Haiku. I will definitely aim to follow the rules you outlined in my next one…cheers!

      umm, welcome for the edit.. i try to help when i can.. managing Haiku Heights, it sort of becomes my duty too πŸ˜€

      even the English Haiku uses syllable count itself, not word count, Amrita πŸ™‚
      only thing, it doesn’t stick to 5-7-5 format.. makes it a maximum of 17 syllables in any format of 3 lines.
